Life at the Kennel

Raising Well-Balanced Puppies Through Discovery, Play, and Gentle Handling

Kennel Activities

The activities we carry out can be divided into four distinct stages:

1. Prenatal Period
Care begins well before the puppies arrive. The future mother explores the nursery and regularly receives rewards and gentle affection. This area is reserved exclusively for her so that she feels safe. Her diet and walks are carefully managed, and her temperature and weight are regularly monitored to ensure everything goes optimally.

2. Neonatal and Transitional Period
During the first two weeks of the puppies’ lives, we follow two programs in parallel: the Scent-Stimulation Program and the Bio Sensor Program. We also place textured pads in the whelping box to help them get accustomed to different surfaces.

3. Socialization Period 1
From three weeks of age, the puppies’ senses are fully alert. We take this opportunity to safely introduce them to as many new experiences as possible. They hear a variety of sounds through our daily activities and dedicated listening sessions. They go on car rides to explore new places and meet our family. Living with the pack, they play and learn canine social codes. We gradually wean them, respecting the needs of both the puppies and the mother.

4. Socialization Period 2
Once they have received their first vaccination, the puppies are somewhat better protected to explore the outside world. We use these last two weeks to introduce something new each day. They meet new people and various animals (dogs, chickens, horses, cows…), and we begin working on natural recall while exposing them to different environments such as woods, meadows, gardens, and roads.
